IAP2's Designing Public Participation

Prerequisite Course Required: Participants must take Fundamentals of Public Participation prior to attending this course. 

This course consists of 4-4 hour live virtual sessions. Sessions will be held on November 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd from 1:00-5:00 ET / 12:00-4:00 CT / 11:00 - 3:00 MT / 10:00-2:00 PT.

Designing Public Participation introduces practitioners to the design and plan phases of the practice framework, providing them with the opportunity to develop public participation and engagement practice plans. This includes scoping, community mapping, determining purpose and objectives and levels of influence, choosing appropriate methods and managing resources, while considering the needs of diverse audiences.

To support young professionals in their professional development, the cost of the course has been reduced. This means that if you are under the age of 35 or are new to the field, and are signed up as an IAP2 Young Professional, you will receive a $125.00 discount for the course. You do not need to be a member of IAP2 to sign up as an IAP2 Young Professional or to receive the discount. We, of course, welcome all learners, while creating a space for young professionals to flourish!
